Immuneel founded to bring CAR T therapies to India
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Siddhartha Mukherjee founded Immuneel Therapeutics Ltd. (Bangalore, India) with the goal of providing affordable CAR T cell therapies to Indian patients. Mazumdar-Shaw is chairperson and managing director of Biocon Ltd. (NSE:BIOCON; BSE:532523). Mukherjee, among a variety of roles, is co-founder of CAR T company Vor Biopharma Inc.

Cipla re-enters China with JV
The U.K. subsidiary of India-based Cipla Ltd. (NSE:CIPLA; BSE:CIPLA) is launching a JV in China with Jiangsu Acebright Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Jiangsu, China) to manufacture respiratory products. The JV will be a subsidiary of Cipla, which will invest $24 million and hold an 80% stake, while Acebright will invest $8 million and hold a 20% stake. The JV marks Cipla's return to the Chinese market after the company divested its stakes in Jiangsu Cdymax Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. (Jiangsu, China) and Biomab Holding Ltd. (Hong Kong, China) in 2014 and 2015, respectively...
