The Institute for Protein Design at University of Washington received $45 million from The Audacious Project to design and characterize synthetic proteins for therapeutics and drug delivery.

The institute, led by David Baker, uses a computational platform called Rosetta coupled with high throughput methods to manufacture, screen and optimize synthetic proteins that can bind to targets of interest.
