Management tracks: Gottlieb's next move, plus Vertex, Centogene and more

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb will return to the American Enterprise Institute as a resident fellow after he leaves the agency. His last day at FDA is Friday. Gottlieb expects to work part-time at AEI, where he will focus on drug pricing and access (see "Gottlieb Farewell Speech: “Take on Hard Problems and Challenge Conventional Wisdom”).

Cystic fibrosis drugmaker Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX) hired Charles Wagner as EVP and CFO. Wagner succeeds interim CFO Paul Silva who continues as corporate controller.
