Winners of China's centralized procurement to secure over 60% market share

Companies that won tender bids for China's pilot program for centralized procurement of generic drugs will be guaranteed a market share of 60-70% when the implementation phase begins in late March. China’s State Council approved the program on Thursday and disclosed details of the implementation phase in a program document.

Implementation, which is the second phase of the pilot, will last for one year, according to the document. In December, China's Joint Procurement Office released the final results of the first phase of the pilot, which involved centralized tendering for generics that have passed equivalence testing.
