Owlstone adds $35M to $50M series C

Early disease detection and precision medicine company Owlstone Medical Ltd. (Cambridge, U.K.) raised $35 million led by Horizons Ventures as part of its untranched series C round. The sum brings the total in the round to $50 million; Owlstone raised $15 million in March 2018.

Aviva Ventures and Horizons co-led the earlier phase of the round. Participants in the $35 million portion include Ventura Capital, Foxconn Technologies Group and other undisclosed U.S., U.K. and Asian investors.
