WHO to start treatment with Merck's Ebola vaccine

The World Health Organization began administering Ebola vaccine rVSV-ZEBOV (V920) from Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK) on May 21 in two cities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Vaccination will be administered using a ring approach in Mbandaka and Bikoro to people who have come into contact with Ebola cases and contacts of contacts, as well as healthcare and front-line workers.
