Clarus, Sofinnova Partners announce new hires

Life sciences investment firm Clarus Ventures LLC (Cambridge, Mass.) hired Paris Panayiotopoulos as operating partner and a member of its investment team. He was president and CEO of Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc., which Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo:4502) acquired last year. Panayiotopoulos is also executive chairman of Genevant Sciences, which Arbutus Biopharma Corp.
