Denner seeking Ironwood board seat

Gastrointestinal disease company Ironwood Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:IRWD) said Sarissa Capital Management LP will nominate Alex Denner for election to the company's board at its annual shareholders meeting. The news was announced on Monday, when Ironwood gained $1.51 (11%) to $15.87.

The activist investor is chief investment officer of Sarissa, which held a 1.1% stake in Ironwood at Feb. 23. Ironwood has not announced a date for the shareholders meeting...
