Veritas pays $1B to spin out GE's digital healthcare business

Private equity investment firm Veritas Capital will pay General Electric (NYSE:GE) $1.1 billion in cash to acquire GE Healthcare's ambulatory care, revenue cycle and workforce management assets. The acquisition includes software and related IP, as well as the majority of employees. Veritas plans to spin out the assets into a standalone business to help healthcare providers manage their financial, clinical and employee work flows. The partners expect the deal to close in 3Q18...
