Back to School 2009: Life in the new ecosystem

Going into 2010, it's time to stop bemoaning the loss of what biotech used to be and get busy building what it must become. Clearly, the best companies and investors will survive, and there will be new innovator companies built around new science. The question is what will allow these species to prosper and multiply in the new biopharma ecosystem.

It's definitely time to stop asking what the future has in store for the past. The dead cannot be resurrected. The ill-adapted may linger for a time, like the Neanderthal, but will pass from the scene...
