Burrill indicted for fraud

On Monday, a federal grand jury in San Francisco indicted G. Steven Burrill on 31 counts of fraud related to an investment fund scheme.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Burrill is charged with 26 counts of wire fraud, one count of investment adviser fraud, and four counts of tax evasion in connection with an alleged scheme to siphon money from the Burrill Life Sciences Capital Fund III. The indictment also charged Marc Howard Berger with three counts of aiding and assisting Burrill in preparing false tax returns...
