Liquid biopsy test detects nasopharyngeal cancer in asymptomatic patients

A study in the New England Journal of Medicine showed a liquid biopsy test could detect nasopharyngeal carcinoma in asymptomatic patients using circulating cell-free Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA, demonstrating the tool's effectiveness in early screening for viral-based cancers.
