China adds drugs to reimbursement list

China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MoHRSS) has negotiated discounts for 36 high-cost, high-value drugs and added them to its national reimbursement drug list, according to Goldman Sachs analyst Richard Yeh.
The drugs' average discount is 39%, compared with 2016 hospital procurement prices, Yeh said. The ministry reached agreements with manufacturers on 31 of the 36 Western drugs that were among 44 proposed compounds on a list MoHRSS released in April (see BioCentury Extra, April 19)...
