Tetragenetics gets JDRF investment

JDRF T1D Fund invested an undisclosed amount in Tetragenetics Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.), the company said. Tetragenetics is developing mAbs targeting potassium channel Kv1.3 (KCNA3) to treat Type I diabetes.

Tetragenetics said that by targeting ion channels involved in the regulation of T cell activation, including KCNA3 and potassium channel KCa3.1 (KCNN4), it seeks to halt autoimmune cascades that lead to disease.
