BioCryst raises $45M in follow-on

Rare and infectious disease company BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:BCRX) raised $45 million through the sale of 5.3 million shares at $8.50 in a follow-on underwritten by JPMorgan, Piper Jaffray and JMP Securities. The price is a 1% premium to BioCryst's close of $8.41 on Wednesday, when it proposed the offering after market hours.
