Color Genomics raises $45M in series B

Diagnostic company Color Genomics Inc. (Burlingame, Calif.) raised $45 million in a series B round led by General Catalyst. Singer-songwriter Bono also participated, as did existing investors Susan Wagner, 8VC, Kholsa Ventures and Emerson Collective.

Color Genomics markets its Color Test to analyze genes associated with increased risk for common hereditary cancers. It also intends to build open-access databases of genetic information. The company did not respond to inquiries. ...
