Cellenkos raises $10M venture round

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Golden Meditech Ltd. (HKSE:00801; Taiwan:910801) launched immunotherapy newco Cellenkos Inc. (Houston, Texas) with $10 million in a venture round. Golden Meditech and an undisclosed strategic investor participated.

Cellenkos intends to develop IP from the laboratory of Simrit Parmar, an associate professor in MD Anderson's Department of Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, to use cord blood-derived Treg cells in therapies for autoimmune diseases. ...
