AltheRx raises $15M, names new CEO

AltheRx Pharmaceuticals (Exton, Pa.) raised $15 million in a series A round led by existing investor Becker Ventures. Becker's Jim Bennethum also took over as CEO and became a director, replacing Shawn O'Brien, who departed. Becker's Charles Becker will become chairman of AltheRx, and Anthony Zook, formerly CEO of North America for AstraZeneca plc (LSE:AZN; NYSE:AZN), will also join the company's board.
