Topas spins out of Evotec, raises series A

Evotec AG (Xetra:EVT) spun out Topas Therapeutics GmbH (Hamburg, Germany), which plans to develop nanoparticle-based therapeutics that will induce antigen-specific immune tolerance in the liver to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Topas also raised EUR 14 million ($15.8 million) in the first close of a series A round led by Epidarex Capital. EMBL Ventures, Gimv and Evotec participated. Evotec is Topas' largest shareholder. ...
