Qiming closes Fund V at $648 million

Qiming Venture Partners closed its Qiming V fund at $648 million. As with past funds, Qiming will invest Fund V in Chinese healthcare, IT, cleantech, internet and consumer companies, with more than 50% of its investments in early stage companies. The close brings Qiming's assets under management to $2.5 billion, including five U.S. dollar funds and three RMB funds.

Returning LPs included Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Duke University, Commonfund, Hall Capital Partners, Mayo Foundation and the Dietrich Foundation. ...
