Rosetta Capital buys part of pharma venture portfolio

Rosetta Capital Ltd. acquired undisclosed stakes in 20 companies from the corporate venture arm of an undisclosed "major pharmaceutical company." Rosetta invests in portfolios to provide liquidity to other investors or companies that wish to divest some or all of their assets for strategic reasons. The London life science venture firm acquired the corporate VC's entire stake in the 20 companies, but said the VC is remaining an active life science investor. Rosetta declined to disclose details, but said the selection criteria included clinical-stage companies.
