Oxford Immunotec raises $64.3 million in IPO

Diagnostic company Oxford Immunotec Global plc (NASDAQ:OXFD) gained $3.40 (28%) to $15.40 on its first day of trading Friday after raising $64.3 million through the sale of 5.4 million shares at $12 in an IPO. Earlier this month, the company had said it planned to sell the same number of shares at $13-$15. The $12 price valued the company at $196.4 million. JPMorgan; Piper Jaffray; Cowen; and Baird are underwriters.

Oxford Immunotec's IPO is the third largest offering this year from a European company listing on a U.S. exchange. In June, Duchenne muscular dystrophy company Prosensa Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:RNA) raised $89.7 million in an IPO. Medical food play Enzymotec Ltd. (NASDAQ:ENZY) raised $71 million in an IPO in September. ...
