Medicines Co. gains on takeout rumors

The Medicines Co. (NASDAQ:MDCO) gained $4.55 (14%) to $36.06 on Wednesday, giving it a market cap of $2.5 billion, after media reports said the company is exploring a sale. Spokesperson Robert Laverty declined to comment on the speculation. ...
