Juno acquires antibody company X-Body

Juno Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:JUNO) acquired X-Body Inc. (Waltham, Mass.), giving Juno an antibody discovery platform that will allow it to produce new chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell and T cell receptor ( TCR) therapies.

Juno paid $21 million in cash and issued 439,265 shares that are valued at $23.3 million based on Monday's closing price. X-Body shareholders also are eligible for undisclosed research, clinical and regulatory milestones, plus royalties.
