Sonexa raises $30 million

Neurology company Sonexa (San Diego, Calif.) raised $30 million in a series A round led by Domain Associates; Scale Venture Partners; and Alta Partners. AgeChem Venture Fund and MC Life Science Ventures also participated. Sonexa said it will use the funds to license and develop an undisclosed compound for Alzheimer's disease (AD). The company licensed exclusive, worldwide rights to the compound outside of Japan and other undisclosed Asian countries from an undisclosed Japanese pharmaceutical company.
