Nanosphere, Luminex deal

Luminex increased its bid to acquire fellow diagnostic company Nanosphere to $1.70 per share in cash, or about $77 million. Luminex increased its bid from $1.35 per share in cash after Nanosphere received an unsolicited proposal from an undisclosed third party for $1.50 per share. The $1.70 price is a 118% premium to Nanosphere’s close of $0.78 on May 13, the last trading day before the original deal was announced. Luminex expects the deal to close this quarter. ...
