Sopping up bacteria

As anyone who has taken antibiotics knows, one of the unpleasant side effects is the gastrointestinal upset that can be caused by the loss of normal bacterial flora. BioMimic Ltd. is developing human therapeutics using receptor mimic technology (RMT) that it believes can be used to prevent and treat infections that cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems without killing helpful bacteria or contributing to bacterial resistance.
