NDA runway

Relypsa Inc.'s $80 million series C round will be enough to get lead compound patiromer (RLY5016) to an NDA submission next year, according to OrbiMed Advisors' Jonathan Silverstein.

Last week, Relypsa raised $49.7 million in a first close, in which OrbiMed was the largest investor. OrbiMed led Relypsa's $70 million series B round in 2010, when the firm put in $35 million. It did not disclose how much it invested in the C round...
