Facebook investor Peter Thiel's foundation seeds first life science startups

An early Facebook Inc. investor is trying his hand at seeding life sciences startups.

The Thiel Foundation, established and funded by Peter Thiel, last week made its first life sciences seed investments via its Breakout Labs program. Thiel is a director of Facebook - he holds 2.5% of the social networking company's pre-IPO shares - and a co-founder of PayPal, which is part of eBay Inc.(NASDAQ:EBAY)...
