Icahn sets sights on Forest Labs in wake of HHS threat to ban chief exec

HHS's threat to banish Chairman, President and CEO Howard Solomon from dealings with federal healthcare programs like Medicare has given activist investor Carl Icahn an opportunity to put Forest Laboratories Inc. in play.

In an SEC filing last Friday, Icahn questioned whether the company's board has put its loyalty to Solomon above its duties to the company and its stockholders.
