Remedyne: Out, DAM spot

Remedyne Corp. believes that it has discovered a master control gene, DNA adenine methyltransferase (DAM), which regulates about 60 genes used by bacteria to fight the immune system and cause disease in mammals.

The company is developing a bacterial delivery technology incorporating disrupted DAM as a carrier, as well as a DNA vaccine as a template to activate dendritic cell responses against cancer or viral diseases.
