ID1 controls a new checkpoint pathway in tumor suppression

A new pathway of immune suppression has been uncovered in a joint study by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. and researchers at Weill Cornell Medical College that positions inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) as a key regulator of dendritic cell transformation in tumors. The findings could add another target to the growing list of checkpoint inhibitors.
