University of South Florida, Cellular Biomedicine deal

Cellular Biomedicine received an exclusive, worldwide license to cancer vaccine CD40LGVAX from Blackbird Bio Finance, which held rights to the vaccine discovered by University of South Florida College of Medicine. CD40LGVAX consists of irradiated allogeneic lung adenocarcinoma cells combined with a cell line transfected with hCD40L and hGM-CSF. Cellular Biomedicine will pay $2.5 million in cash and $1.8 million in stock up front plus more than $25 million in potential milestones and royalties. ...
