Epistem, ScandiDerma A/S deal

The companies partnered to develop an in vitro model of human living skin for use in testing inflammatory responses of dermatology drugs in development. The deal, which will run through March 2014, is funded by an award from the U.K.'s Technology Strategy Board and the Norwegian government's Innovation Norway program under a "Sustainable high value chemical manufacture through industrial biotechnology" competition.
