NextBio, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Inc., Emory University deal

NextBio, the university's Winship Cancer Institute and the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta partnered to discover biomarkers that predict metastasis in children with medulloblastoma. The partners will interpret molecular and genomic data using NextBio Clinical technology to compare primary tumors and metastatic tumors. NextBio Clinical allows the correlation of patients' molecular and clinical data from public and proprietary studies. The partners will use the genomic data from patients, mouse models and frozen tissue samples. The cancer center will own rights to IP on the biomarkers.
