Accelr8 Technology, Denver Health & Hospital Authority diagnostic, infectious news

Accelr8 and Denver Health received notice that the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Medical Research and Development Program (DMRDP) awarded the partners $2 million to develop Accelr8's BACcel same-shift rapid diagnostic system to detect wound infections and other serious infections secondary to trauma. The partners' joint research project was the sole recipient of a grant under the Military Infectious Diseases Applied Research Award (MID-ARA) program for rapid detection of serious antibiotic-resistant infections.
