Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center cancer, pharmacogenetics news

Former Genzyme Corp. Chairman, President and CEO Henri Termeer donated $10 million to Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center to establish a center for personalized medicine research and treatment. The Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies will initially focus on targeted treatments for cancer, especially breast and lung cancers and leukemias. The hospital said it hopes to raise an additional $10 million for the center over the next two years. Genzyme Corp. was acquired by Sanofi (Euronext:SAN; NYSE:SNY, Paris, France) earlier this year (see BioCentury, April 11). ...
