Elan names Hasler as COO

Elan Corp. plc (NYSE:ELN) hired Hans Peter Hasler as COO, effective Oct. 1. He has been a non-executive director at Elan since last September, but will retire from the board when he becomes COO. Hasler is currently chairman of HBM Bioventures AG and principal of HPH Management GmbH. Elan was off $0.09 to $11.16 on Thursday. ...
