The foundation spun off its organic chemistry into newco Evestra Inc., which will develop and commercialize steroid-based products for women's healthcare, including fertility control, hormone replacement therapy, gynecological diseases and hormone-dependent breast cancer. Evestra's lead product candidate is an undisclosed oral contraceptive seeking accelerated approval from FDA. Evestra will be located in San Antonio, Texas. Evestra will receive an undisclosed amount in start-up funding from the foundation and will seek additional financing from San Antonio-area investors in a series A round. ...
