DDDP said that contrary to its previous statements, the company has not succeeded in producing crystals of the beta-2 adrenergic receptor, a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), or X-ray data derived from such crystals. Instead, DDDP said it believes it crystallized a separate substance of the same molecular weight as the receptor, possibly due to scientific misconduct on the part of a DDDP scientist. In its May 23 IPO prospectus, DDDP said that it had obtained high-quality crystals that it believed would allow it to generate the first experimentally determined 3-D structure of a GPCR. ...
