Zintevir integrase inhibitor data

At the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy in Toronto, ARNX reported the pharmacokinetics of Zintevir, tested at single doses of 0.75, 1.5, 3 or 6 mg/kg, or in multiple doses of 1.5 or 3 mg/kg, given by intravenous infusion over two hours. Multiple doses were given every other day for 14 days. The 6 mg/kg single dose gave plasma concentrations equivalent to those that inhibit HIV in vitro, which was sustained for up to 12 hours. The compound was detectable for up to 122 hours at the multiple dose at 3 mg/kg. The compound was extremely well tolerated, the company said. ...
