ISIP published animal and cell culture data showing potent inhibition of human tumor growth in mice by the antisense compound. As reported in Nature Medicine, ISIS 5132/CGP 69846A blocked growth of xenograft tumors from human breast, lung, and bladder, at doses well below those known to be toxic. The agent also reduced the C-raf kinase mRNA and protein in the cell cultures and in tumors in a dose-dependent, sequence-specific manner. ...
