Ecogen, Scentry Biologicals Inc. deal

EECN sold its pheromone pesticide and crop improvement and disease management line to Scentry for $2.4 million, consisting of $1.7 million in cash and the assumption of $700,000 in trade payables. The pheromone business had $3.1 million in sales in the fiscal 1997 year ended Oct. 31. EECN also received a contract to act as an exclusive U.S. distributor of three of the pheromone products through Dec. 31, 2000. EECN expects to record a $500,000 gain in its second fiscal quarter. ...
