BioSeek, EPA deal

BioSeek received a contract from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the EPA ToxCast screening program to use BioSeek's BioMAP Systems to help predict biological activity and potential toxicity. The deal will cover up to 60,000 samples, including environmental chemicals, pesticides, failed pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials. BioSeek said it could receive up to $46.8 million over five years under the contract. The company's 2007 contract with EPA was for up to $12.8 million over five years and resulted in over 1,000 analyzed samples. ...
