Tarix preclinical data

In a rat model of ischemic stroke, TXA127 significantly improved neurologic score, forelimb placement, stepping test and body swing test scores vs. undisclosed controls. Tarix said TXA127 treatment started 24 hours after stroke, with positive improvements detectable within 2 weeks and continuing throughout the 7-week study. Additionally, TXA127 increased cerebral blood flow and led to histologic evidence of new blood vessel formation. In a mouse model of unilateral hind limb ischemia, Tarix said TXA127 more than doubled percent blood flow by day 49 compared to controls (85% vs. 40%).
