ReNeuron said the foundation will support the development of ReN003 to treat retinitis pigmentosa. The company said that the foundation funded preclinical work conducted on ReN003 by the Schepens Eye Research Institute and that the foundation's "extensive knowledge, experience and network of advisers will be invaluable" to ReNeuron. The foundation said it is providing financial support to Schepens for late preclinical work on ReN003 but is not funding ReNeuron directly.
