Effective April 1, Shionogi will reorganize its pharmaceutical research division to establish three new laboratories. One lab will focus on Shionogi's core therapeutic areas of infectious disease and pain/neuropathy, and a second lab will focus on areas where unmet medical need is expected to increase, including obesity/geriatric metabolic disease and oncology/immunological disease.
