Sage Bionetworks, The DREAM Project computational chemistry/biology, cancer news

The not-for-profit Sage Bionetworks said the DREAM Project will be folded into Sage and that Sage and the project will run open science computational challenges together. The DREAM - Dialogue on Reverse Engineering Assessment and Methods - Project is an initiative founded in 2006 to organize challenges around fundamental systems biology questions. Sage is developing a computational platform, Synapse, to share and analyze genomic information in an open-access environment to build network models of disease.

The DREAM Project has run 24 computational challenges over the past five years, including a challenge run last year with Sage. The Sage Bionetworks-DREAM Breast Cancer Prognosis Challenge was focused on assessing the accuracy of computational models designed to predict breast cancer survival based on clinical information about the patient's tumor and genome-wide molecular profiling data. ...
