Fzd8-Fc: Phase Ib started

OncoMed began an open-label, dose-escalation, U.S. Phase Ib trial to evaluate OMP-54F28 plus carboplatin and paclitaxel in about 20 patients with recurrent platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer. OMP-54F28 is also being evaluated in a Phase Ib trial in combination with Abraxane nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine to treat pancreatic cancer and a Phase Ib trial in combination with Nexavar sorafenib in patients with first-line locally advanced or metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). OncoMed and Bayer AG (Xetra:BAYN, Leverkusen, Germany) are partnered under a 2010 deal to discover and develop antibodies, proteins and small molecules targeting the Wnt signaling pathway to treat cancer.
