Epoxide hydrolase 2 (EPHX2; CEH)

Mouse studies suggest epoxide hydrolase inhibitors could be useful for preventing cardiac fibrosis. In two mouse models for cardiac fibrosis, epoxide hydrolase inhibitors decreased proinflammatory signaling, cardiac hypertrophy and cardiac fibrosis compared with vehicle. Next steps include preclinical development of the compounds with undisclosed industry partners.
